January 2010:
The annual New Year Dinner
of the Malta China Friendship Society was held at the Radisson Bay Point
Resort in St. Julian's. The event was a big success with many members
and friends attending. Guest of honour was the new Ambassador of the
People's Republic of China, H.E. Mr. Zhang Keyuan.

April 2010: The Malta China Friendship Society organised a
Photographic
Exhibition entitled the "Voice of Friendship" with the theme being
38 years Malta-China Relations. It took the Society 8 months of
hard work and research to find all the historical photos, some of
which had to be brought from China. The Exhibition was held at
the Chinese Cultural Centre in Melita Street, Valletta and was
opened by the
Ambassador of the People's Republic of China, H.E. Mr. Zhang Keyuan.
The numerous guests who attended included many Ambassadors resident
in Malta, former Presidents of the Republic, Dr Guido De Marco and
Dr Edward Fenech Adami, Dr Joseph Muscat, Leader of the Opposition
and many other distinguished personalities. Mr Reno Calleja,
President of the MCFS and who was the motor behind this event also
addressed the guests at the Opening.

July 2010:
The Executive Committee of the Malta
China Friendship Society, led by Vice Chairman Mr Joseph Vella, paid
a courtesy visit to His Excellency Dr George Abela, President of the
Republic of Malta on the 26th July 2010. The cordial meeting
served as an occasion for His Excellency to get to know better our
Association and our work. A cash donation on behalf of
the MCFS was presented to Dr Abela for the Malta Community Chest
Fund along with a painting - the work of Mr Joseph Barbara.
